The Porsche Cayman GT4 Is Coming To Assetto Corsa EVO

With the significant 0.3 update arriving in the next few weeks, it’s been confirmed that the Porsche Cayman GT4 is coming to Assetto Corsa EVO.

The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport will be added alongside eight new cars and two circuits, with previous reveals including the BMW M3 E30, the BMW M4 GT3 Evo and the Dallara Stradale.

It’s not the first time developers Kunos Simulazioni have modelled the Porsche, as it previously appeared as part of the Assetto Corsa Competizione roster as part of the GT4 Pack DLC.

The 718 range was introduced by Porsche in 2016, with the number referring back to the model which won the Targa Florio in 1959 and 1960, using a new turbocharged flat-four engine. The race focused GT4 Clubsport arrived in 2019 with Competition and Trackday versions, later followed by the more powerful RS Clubsport.

The current car produces 425hp from the 3.8 litre six-cylinder boxer engine, through a dual clutch transmission and 6-speed PDK gearbox. The competition version gets racing three-way shock absorbers, a 115 litre fuel cell, brake balance adjustment and a quick release steering wheel from the 911 GT3 R along with other racing features.

Other sim racing titles to feature the Cayman GT4 include the previously-mentioned Assetto Corsa Competizione, the original Assetto Corsa, iRacing, and Forza Horizon 5.

Assetto Corsa EVO is currently available for the PC via Steam Early Access, here. And you can keep up with the latest news and updates here, along with all the content releases via our car list and track list.
